An advanced graduate course in finite-difference simulation of flow and transport using MODFLOW, MODPATH, SEAWAT, MT3D, and other USGS codes. Utilizes Groundwater Vistas for pre- and post-processing. Computer intensive. Requires Geol562 or equivalent hydraulics course |
Geol659 Quant Methods with RMultidisciplinary visit of univariate, bivariate, and multivariate stat methods plus advanced graphical methods using R, the powerful public-domain scripting package. Students from all science disciplines welcome. Some prior statistical background strongly recommended -- if you are not sure you are prepared, see me. Computer intensive.
